Epoxy resin retains its mechanical properties up to a temperature of 75°C, exceeding this value can cause the resin to shrink and, in extreme cases, flaking and chipping of the resin.
Therefore, the use of sharp, unused abrasive belts and low sanding speeds in the range of 10 - 15m/s and frequent cooling of the knife pin are recommended.
